As part of the Rainbow Hub’s Rainbow Horizons project around inclusive end of life care, I invited two amazing writers Alana Valentine and Christo Tsiolkas to join me in conversation on 27 February 2022. They tackle the big issues in their work and I wanted to open up people’s thinking beyond talk of practicalities, important though they are. Over 60 people of diverse ages from the LGBTI community came down to the Torrens Rowing Club to be part of it. The location tied in with the themes of the work Watershed: The Death of Dr Duncan that both writers created the libretto for. It was co-commissioned by Feast Festival, Adelaide Festival and State Opera SA and had its world premiere at the 2022 Adelaide Festival.
