Artlink – new words for new art

After 11 years as Board member and Chair of Artlink magazine, I have recently stepped down.

I loved contributing to the magazine’s growth and development working with a small but dedicated team of staff alongside committed Board members. A highlight was travelling to the 2014 Australian Studies Conference in China to promote a Mandarin edition of Artlink Indigenous with founding Editor Stephanie Britton, artists Djon Mundine and Judy Watson and my partner Ray.

There is now a digital archive capturing Artlink’s 40+ years publishing contemporary art across topical themes with incredibly diverse writers, platforming First Nations and many other perspectives.

I’m proud to have steered the development of Artlink’s first Reconciliation Action Plan and I look forward to watching the magazine continue to go from strength to strength publishing new words for new art.

I will continue to contribute to the broader South Australian arts community through my involvement with the Friends of Unley Museum and Feast Festival among other areas.
